In light of Governor Kate Brown’s order to cancel or postpone gatherings of 250 or more in the state of Oregon, we have cancelled Promenade Portland 2020 with the expectation that the Governor’s order will extend past our scheduled date.
Cancelling our fundraiser is a difficult decision, however the health and safety of our event attendees is our top priority. We believe it is the right decision to make and it is the responsible thing to do in order to best serve our community.
We thank you for your continued support during this difficult time.
Assistance League of Greater Portland has been improving lives through community-based programs since 1965. You can make a difference in the lives of children and adults within your community by supporting Assistance League of Greater Portland through its programs:
- Operation School Bell® provides school clothes to children in the Beaverton, Hillsboro and Portland School Districts. Last school year we clothed approximately 4,000 children.
- Assault Survivor Kits® containing emergency outfits are given to victims of assault and domestic violence in seventeen local hospitals and facilities.
- Cordero House, a Janus Youth program, where we support the recovery of youth with enrichment activities and encouragement to boys in residential treatment.
- We partner with Portland Community College to provide scholarships to students choosing a Trades Program.
